# Why Oleg?

Named Oleg as a tribute to one of the best coworkers I have ever had.
This person keeps quietly working and producing excellent results, but from
time to time will produce the most strange and intriguing product unrelated
to work that will lead everyone not in the loop into a full state of 
confusion and 

Same with this server machine it keeps quietly chugging along untill it 
produces the weirdest error that stops it and requires the specific 
know-how to solve it. This is what makes it interesting.

# Why 2k19?

Not only because having a domain name Oleg.info is weird and kind of boring, 
but it also denotes the version of Windows Server running on it.
Also inspired by workplace that used similar naming for it's servers.

# Why even host these outdated game servers? What's in it for you?

As defined in the manifesto.txt - this is not done for profit.

This server is a playground for me, a learning experience if you will. I have
always been interested in servers, networking and general IT bullshit. This 
server allows me to learn how to work with multiple different systems. From 
configuring hardware, installing the server OS itself, configuring DBs to 
making shitty website this provides endeless entertainment for me.

And to give back to the old video game communities I used to frequent back in
my childhood to young adult years, I decided to also host some video game
servers, so others can have fun with this "project".

# Why these specific video game servers?

The main idea is to host something I can connect to and enjoy myself.
The secondary idea is to give back to the communities/games I used to play and
don't want to die out without others experiencing them.

Of course I am open to the idea of hosting a newer project if enough players 
join and there is a need for a server. 
It's sad to see that most newer games don't support dedicated servers :(
